Tuesday 19th May
Things were getting slightly fraught in Whitebridge today as Helen’s husband finished all his “lockdown wine boxes”…… it maybe fair to say that he will be relieved when she gets back to work and he has a bit of peace and quiet!!
In wider news it has been decided that charity fundraiser Colonel Tom Moore (upgraded from Captain), is to be given a knighthood for his endeavours.
Wednesday 20th May
Keely’s long suffering (and thankfully forgiving) fiancé was today given a haircut….. it must be said that in the initial stages his coiffure was looking a little on the “bowl” side.
Obviously at this stage the Eden Crew were extremely sympathetic to poor Struan’s plight offering their own unique “support” to him. Chelsea also demonstrated her historical knowledge at this point by comparing the cut to that of royalty…… unfortunately she was referring to Henry V…..
Thankfully by the end of Struan’s ordeal he was looking good again….. which was quite disappointing to the team as this meant no more “micky taking” was appropriate.
Thursday 21st May
Today was interesting as an email has been circulating which outlines the plans in which dental practices may reopen. Although a lot of the finer details have to be ironed out, it is believed that we will be allowed to open on (or hopefully before July 31st). This is in “Phase 2” of the Scottish Governments plan.
It is thought that at this time we will only be allowed to see emergencies only with procedures that do not involve aerosols (so this means we will be very limited in what treatment we will be able to carry out).
The day ended with a beautiful sunset as shown by this photo taken by Ken in Nairn…… which just goes to remind us that we live in a beautiful part of the world, and although things are tough at the moment, in the great scheme of things we are really lucky!
Friday 22nd May
Today seemed a busy day regarding helping and advising patients, with people contacting us via email and phone. Thankfully although we are now in week 9 of lockdown people are still being extremely stoical and understanding….we are very lucky to have such nice patients.
Saturday 23rd May
Helen managed to excel herself today as she managed to beat Ken in the “injure yourself whilst on Lockdown challenge”. This resulted in a damaged knee….. it is fair to say that both Ken and Helen are safer when at work!!
