Monday 4th May
Keely was seen to be settling well into lockdown today as she is now wearing comfortable clothing. We definitely think she looks cute in her oversized jumper!!
However Chelsea is getting even more bonkers as she is trying to figure out how to get the birds in her garden to feed from her hands….. I blame TikTok.
At the moment there is a lot of speculation about when we will be allowed to return to the practice, and if regulations will change…….. we are concerned about having to use enhanced PPE and having to install high power air filtration and extraction units when we return…. however at the moment this is all just rumour and speculation.
The UK government is to allow some construction workers to return to work from next Monday. So we are hoping that we will receive some guidelines soon.
Tuesday 5th May
The weather in Inverness has been exceptional over the last couple of days…… however, this is concerning for a couple of reasons…..Firstly Ken keeps hurting himself whilst gardening…. and Chelsea is too fair to cope! However it is always great to see a good Scottish tan.
Wednesday 6th May
Unfortunately Keely is suffering from dental sensitivity today. As with all issues of dental pain, a detailed history was taken, which included a dietary questionnaire. It was noted that since lockdown her diet has contained quite a high acidic element which is believed to be causing her problem. She has consequently been advised to adjust her prosecco intake!!!!
Thursday 7th May
Nicola Sturgeon announced today that Scotland will continue the current lockdown measures for at least another 3 weeks…… We fear that Scotland may not have reached its peak when it comes to the number of COVID-19 cases. Also the large outbreak of cases in a care home on the Isle of Skye suggests that the virus may still be heading our way. We are obviously concerned about our patients and our business, but see that the continuation of the lockdown is presently the only option.
Friday 8th May
Today is officially a bank holiday, as the the “normal” may day holiday was moved from the beginning of the month to enable VE day celebrations to taken place.
Unfortunately due to Lockdown all major celebrations have to be cancelled or postponed anyway although the UK still held a two-minute silence to mark this 75th anniversary and wreaths were laid whilst maintaining social distancing.
Sunday 10th May
Boris Johnson gave an update today at 7pm……… which means we are now definite in the fact we haven’t a clue what is next…. but now know we must “Stay Alert”. However the continued advise for Scotland is stay home.
